Brabantia Bins – Making A Stylish And Colourful Corner

Ok, I am just going to come out and admit it.

I am a little bit in love with Brabantia. I want to fill my entire kitchen, pantry, bathroom, every room with all things Brabantia.

I am lucky enough to own quite a few items from their very colourful and must have tasty colours range.  Let’s just say these have made cooking a much more vibrant and happy experience for myself and the kiddoes.

The thing about being a food blogger is that my kitchen is always this test space, where I am constantly creating, testing and recreating recipes for all of you lovely readers. With that testing comes a whole load of stuff to discard or to wash.

Enter my brand new Brabantia bins. Trashing has never been so much fun. Not just for me but for the kiddoes too who have been measuring their heights on  the new bins, who have been excited by testing out the touch mechanism of the Brabantia  Touch bin and who have set up little hideaways in their rooms with the Brabantia bin boxes.

Brabantia makes trash stylish. Their bins look stunning and are designed in such a way that what is an essential everyday object becomes a fun centre point object. Plus, their 10 year product and service guarantee is awesome.

First up is my brand new 60L Brabantia touch bin, 60 in passion red.

I love the large size which holds enough for a family of four with a food blogging mama for 3 or 4 days. The large opening for waste disposal is awesome too. I can easily throw in the content from my dustpan without worrying about spills.  It has a very ‘Soft-Touch’ opening and closing system – which has been extensively tested out by the kiddoes and they love it.  I also dig the fact that it has a protective floor ring (which keeps my bamboo flooring scratch free).

Second up is my 12L newIcon pedal bin in daisy yellow.

Everyone should certainly have a newIcon pedal bin. Because by getting one of these bins, you’re supporting The Ocean Cleanup mission – to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. For each item sold, Brabantia makes a donation to this. Oh such a beautiful thing.

This 12 litre pedal bin is large enough for waste, but still small enough to fit under the worktop. I use this one for my compost. Which is perfect as it has odour proof closure. Like other Brabantia bin it comes with a noise free soft closure and it is extremely light and easy to use the pedal action. They fact that it is cradle to cradle certified is makes it that much more of a good thing for me.

Finally my 60L laundry bin with a cork lid in mint.

Guys you have noooooooo idea how please I am to have gotten rid of my broken blue plastic laundry basket which was inherited, already broken, from my sister. In its place is my rather iconic and gorgeous Brabantia laundry bin.

One of the first things I noticed is that it is made of durable corrosion resistant materials, so no chance of a rusty laundry bin ever.  I also love the well thought out design, yes it does have  ventilation holes for the laundry to breath, but it is designed in such a way that the laundry / bag is not visible. The cork lid has a quick-drop opening for small items of laundry and teddy bears (if your kids are anything like mine).

A fab feature is the fact that the bin comes with a removable laundry bag makes it easy to carry the laundry right up to the washing machine. Again like other Brabantia bins, it has a protective bottom ring which keeps my wooden floors scratch free.

Peeps, this is my view.

I trash a lot. Day in and day out. 20, 30, 40 times a day.   I pile things in the laundry basket 3, 4, 5 times a day including all those dish cloths that I go through. I want to look at stylish things when I do so, I want to use functional things when I do so. I want to have a big smile when I do so. And I certainly want to look at a bright beautiful colours when I do so. Brabantia have helped me tick all those boxes and I seriously, seriously thank them.

You know what guys. I am actually in HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE love with Brabantia. #justsaying

Do pop over to the Brabantia website to find out more and the bins are available from major retailers, in store and online.
