Why You’ll Love This Dessert

  • No bake means no hot oven.
  • Nutella flavored, need I say more?
  • A creamy, rich dessert that’s a little lighter than traditional baked cheesecake.
  • Not as technical and temperamental to make as baked cheesecake.

What Is Nutella No Bake Cheesecake?

No Bake Cheesecake is usually lighter and airier in texture than a baked traditional cheesecake, which is more thick, dense, and velvety smooth.

Just as the name suggests, you don’t have to cook a nutella no bake cheesecake. It firms up in the refrigerator after a few hours. It’s not as temperamental to make as baked cheesecake, which is another reason no bake cheesecakes are increasing in popularity.

Recipe Tips

  • Using a food processor to break up the Oreo cookies helps break them down to a nice crumb size for your pie crust.
  • Make sure your cream cheese is room temperature so it’s easy to beat and combine with other ingredients.
  • If storing cheesecake in the fridge for a bit after it’s done setting, wait to add the toppings or garnishes, like fresh fruit or chocolate candies until you’re ready to eat
  • Don’t over mix your filling or it may have a hard time setting.

Recipe Variations

Change out the toppings and garnishes: Oreo pieces, fresh fruit or other chocolate candies.

Vary amount of ingredients to your taste: Add in a bit of vanilla extract, add in some more Nutella, mix in some crushed Oreos to the cheesecake mixture.

FAQ

What Kind Of Pan Should I Use To Make An Oreo No Bake Cheesecake?

If you have one, a springform pan is the easiest to make a No Bake Cheesecake in. Otherwise, you can use a pie pan. You may want to put something like a cardboard circle in the bottom of the pie pan to help give the crust and pie a nice shape.

I’ve even seen others use plastic wrap in the pie pan before you add in your crust and filling so that it’s easier to take out of the pan once it’s finished.

What Kind Of Cream Cheese Should You Use?

When making this No Bake Nutella and Oreo Cheesecake recipe, I recommend using full fat cream cheese, not low fat cream cheese.

Why Is My No Bake Cheesecake Not Setting?

Make sure you’re using the right kind of cream cheese. Low fat cream cheese doesn’t seem to set as well with this recipe, in the refrigerator when making a no bake dessert. It doesn’t get to the right firmness.

Also, make sure you’re using the powdered sugar in the whipped cream and cheese mixture so it can help stabilize the mixture.

Make sure not to overmix your filling, this can make it harder for the dessert to set too.

How Long Does It Take To Set?

Folks, I recommend letting this Nutella Cheesecake recipe set in the fridge for at least 6 hours.

You may find that your oreo no bake cheesecake needs a little longer to set. You can even make this the night before you want it and let it set in the fridge overnight.

  3. This recipe doesn’t make any sense. You need 8 tablespoons of butter, you use the butter for the crust, then you also need butter for the filling? How much butter do you need?? There’s no specification for dividing the 8 tablespoons. I really wanted to make this but I’m going to look for a different recipe that’s actually achievable.
