How To Make Peanut Butter Pie

The beauty of this Peanut Butter Pie is that it is made with everyday pantry staples aka Oreos, butter, cream cheese, icing sugar and whipping cream.  The first step the Oreo pie crust, second step the filling, thirds step topping galore.

Make the Oreo Crust

Of course, you can by some store-bought Oreo Cookie Crusts or other types of cookie crust if you prefer, but it is so easy to make your own. Seriously you should have an Oreo cookie crust recipe up your sleeve which means that you can whip up any kind of no bake pie or baked pie at any time you want. Decadent dessert, here you come….

I used the chocolate Oreo cookie flavour for this recipe but feel free to use Oreo cookie flavour, peanut butter Oreos, strawberry cheesecake Oreos, mint Oreos etc that you prefer.

You need only 2 ingredients for this – Oreos and melted butter. That is it. You can add some flavourings to it if you prefer but seriously this Oreo pie crust recipe is good as is.

Step 1.  Finely crush the Oreos in a food processor, or in a Ziploc bag using a rolling pin. Finer crushed cookies mean a crust that sticks better.

Step 2. Add the crushed Oreos into a bowl along with the melted butter and mix.

Step 3. Transfer the mixture into a 23cm / 9 inch pie dish and press into the bottom and sides of a dish.

Step 4. For the No Bake Pie Crust – Freeze crust for 15 mins or refrigerate for at least 30 mins until it is set.

Optional For a baked pie crust – Bake at 180C / 350F / gas 4 for 10 mins. This will give you a crunchier crust. Let it cool before you continue with your recipe

I was drooling as I read this. I love making an oreo crust, but I do usually bake mine. One of these days I should try it not baked. I LOVE the peanut butter filling here, and the fact that it’s no bake just makes it that much better!
