A true staple at all our game day parties, these wings are a perfect easy weeknight family dinner too. I also love to whip up a batch to serve as an appetizer or snack whenever I’m entertaining.

How To Make BBQ Chicken Wings in Air Fryer

Step 1. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F / 200 degrees C. Pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel.
Step 2. Combine all the ingredients for the homemade dry rub, then generously sprinkle on all sides of the chicken wings, making sure they are evenly coated.
Step 3. Place the seasoned chicken wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Working in batches if needed. Air fry for 20 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.
Step 4. Remove and brush BBQ sauce onto both sides of the wings using a pastry brush or spoon. Return to the air fryer and air fry for an additional 5 minutes or until cooked through and BBQ sauce has caramelized.

- Love your wings extra crispy? Add a bit of baking powder to the seasoning mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer before adding the wings.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket! Make sure the wings are placed in a single layer and leave space around them so the air can circulate. Cook wings in batches if needed.
- Air fryer temperatures may vary depending on the make and model, so check your food and adjust the cooking time accordingly.
