- Swap the Sauce – Instead of marinara, use pesto or alfredo sauce.
- Add Herbs – Fresh or dried herbs like basil or oregano can really boost the flavor.
Prep And Storage
- Prep ahead – This is perfect for snacking, and making it in advance will give you more time to snack and play.
- Store – Store leftover pizza rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Freeze – To store in the freezer, just follow these steps: Let cool and add to a Ziploc bag. Don’t forget to label the package with the contents, date, and cooking times. Freeze for up to 3 months. When you are ready to use, place in the fridge to thaw for a few hours.
- Reheat – Just pop them back in the Air Fryer for 1-2 minutes.
FAQs
If you have a rack for the air fryer, use that – if not, cook the pizza rolls in two batches if needed, as they cannot be stacked while cooking.
If you’ve waited for too long to eat them, I recommend putting them back in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes to reheat them and crisp them back up.
A great option is to use ready-made crescent roll dough. Just make an adjustment to how the pepperoni fits in the rolls. Alternatively, you can also make your own pizza dough!
