Best Apples For Apple Crisp

Folks, sit down for this one. There are over 7,500 varieties of apples in the world. Can you believe it?? (I will take one of each please.)

What are the best apples for apple crisp? TBH you can make this Grilled Apple Crisp Foil Packets using any type of apple you prefer.

If you’re looking for a sweet apple, try Cortland, Fuji or Golden Delicious. Apple varieties that are a little more tart with a hint of sweetness are Pink Lady, Granny Smith and McIntosh apples.

What is important is how crisp or soft you like your dessert. Crisper apples will hold up better when grilling than softer apples. Just experiment away with the apple of your choice till you get the firmness / softness / sweetness etc that you prefer.
