  2. Slice bananas down the middle still in the peel.
  3. Open the slit and stuff in mini marshmallows.
  4. Top with a bit of chocolate chips and some crushed graham crackers.
  5. Air Fryer for about 6 minutes until the banana boats are black and the inside is toasted.

Air fryer temperatures will vary depending on the type and model, so use the cook time as a guide only and adjust as needed.

Recipe Tips

  • Don’t overstuff your banana or you’ll have a hard time closing and wrapping it up.
  • If you’d like, you can add parchment paper in between your food and the aluminum foil to err on the side of caution while cooking your food, to help make sure your food stays safe while it cooks.
  • Make sure the wrapped banana rests safely in the grill grates over the fire while cooking and that they’re toppings side up
  • If your campfire is starting to die down to only embers, use a stick to spread out some embers and cook your dessert on that. Let the heat from the embers cook it for a few minutes while it’s wrapped up, topping side up.
  • Always use tongs to remove dessert from fire or embers. If it’s slightly mushy, it’s ready, if it’s firm, it still needs a bit of cooking time.
  • Be careful when opening the foil as steam may release and dessert may be hot, but foil should cool rather quickly once removed from heat source.
  • Guys, you can even make these campfire banana boats over your grill in the backyard too.

  • Add sauces- Try caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, nutella, hot fudge, honey, peanut butter, etc.
  • Add nuts- Add peanuts, hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds, pecans, etc.
  • Add other fruits- Try cherries, strawberries, blueberries, etc.
  • Swap out graham crackers– try teddy graham cookies, graham cracker cereal, etc.
