Chinese Five Spice Turkey Tacos With Sesame Oil Sour Cream

Ingredient Notes
For the taco meat.
- Left Over turkey meat shredded.
- Oil – just use your favorite olive oil
- Spice – use Chinese 5 spice powder
For the Sesame Oil Sour Cream
- ▢6 tbsp sour cream
- ▢1 tsp toasted sesame oil
For the toppings
- tortillas – use corn tortillas if you want to keep this wheat free.
- Veggie – use a mix of bean sprouts, radishes, green onions, mild chili (optional), pomegranate seeds and fresh cilantro. You can add other things to your taste

How To Make Turkey Tacos

- Heat the olive oil in a pot, and add in the leftover turkey meat and Chinese five spice, mix well and stir-fry for 2 mins. Switch off the heat and set aside.
- Mix together the sour cream and sesame oil.
- Assemble the tacos by filling the tortillas with the spiced turkey breast, the vegetables, pomegranate seeds, coriander and top with the sesame sour cream.
Recipe Tips and Variations
- Warm your tortillas briefly in the microwave, air fryer or a preheated oven before assembling the tacos. This makes them pliable and enhances their flavor.
- While it’s tempting to load up your tacos with fillings, don’t overstuff them. Otherwise it make them challenging to eat and may result in food falling out.
- Create a tropical twist with mango salsa. Dice ripe mangoes, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño (if you like heat). Squeeze lime juice over the mixture and spoon it onto your tacos.

Ingredients
For the Chinese Five Spice Turkey
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 340 g (12oz) of cooked turkey breast shredded
- 1 tsp Chinese five spice
For the Sesame Oil Sour Cream
- 6 tbsp sour cream
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
For the Tacos
- 1 pack tortillas
- Bean sprouts
- Radishes sliced
- Mild chilli deseeded and sliced
- Spring onions scallions, slices
- Pomegranate seeds
- Fresh coriander chopped cilantro
Instructions
