Ingredient Notes
- Chocolate chips – I used a mixture of white chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips and German chocolate for this recipe.
- White Almond bark – Grab a bar of this white candy from your favorite store. If you can’t find it you can also use white candy melts.
- Roasted salted peanuts – Use any brand you like (try not to eat them all before adding them to the slow cooker). I like to use salted peanuts to balance out the sweetness.
- Sprinkles – A selection of Christmas sprinkles; the more the merrier.

How To Make Crockpot Candy
Get the complete ingredients list and instructions from the recipe card below.
- Lightly spray the crockpot insert and add in all the ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 1-2 hours. After the first hour, stir the homemade candy mixture every 20 minutes.
- Remove lid, and drop spoonfuls of the candy mix onto a lined baking sheet or a silicone mat, stopping after every 6 or so to add Christmas sprinkles.
- Allow candies to set for at least one hour in a cool place – preferably a refrigerator – until set. They need to cool completely.
- Serve immediately, or store the candy inside a sealed container in a cool area.
Expert Tips
- For the best-tasting candy, use good-quality milk chocolate chips.
- Be sure that you are stirring occasionally, as the recipe calls for.
- It would be best if you kept the mixture warm when scooping, so leave the crockpot on during this process.
- To make scooping easier and ensure the clusters are the same size, I like to use a small cookie scoop.
- Make sure to add the sprinkles while the chocolate is still warm and soft so they will adhere. Set out about 6 candy clusters at a time, then add sprinkles before scooping out the following 6 clusters, and then keep repeating.
- If you prefer, you can scoop the peanut clusters into cupcake liners instead of directly on the baking sheets. You can also make them into shapes.
- You can easily double this recipe to serve a crowd or to make edible gifts. Just make sure your crockpot is large enough for all the ingredients.
Use For Edible Gifting
This candy makes for a super awesome edible gift, perfect for gift-giving. Whip up a couple of batches, decant them into mason jars, add a ribbon and a label, and hand them out to all your foodie friends. Just remember to keep them chilled #bestfriendsforever.

- Swap the chocolate chips – Feel free to use white or German chocolate instead.
- Other add-ins – mix in other goodies like chopped pretzels, rice krispy cereal, raisins, toffee bits, mini marshmallows, or dried fruit like cranberries.
- Vary the sprinkles – Accessorize your candy with sprinkles in different colors and shapes to suit different occasions, such as Halloween, Easter, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Game Day, etc.
- Use different nuts – You can use macadamia nuts, almonds and pecans—roasted nuts like dry roasted peanuts.
- Toppings – You can experiment with various toppings for your Crock pot Candy, including crushed nuts, coconut flakes, crushed candy canes, crushed salt, or even drizzles of melted chocolate for an extra decadent touch.
- Make a crunchy base – What about including a layer of Graham crackers or toffee before you scoop out your treats? So, this will add a crunch to your candy.

Almond bark is a confectionery coating with vegetable fats, flavors, and colors. And it’s commonly used in candy making and coating various confections.
Crock pot Candy can be served immediately once it has set.
You can present it on a platter, in holiday tins, or in decorative containers, making it perfect for sharing at gatherings or gifting to friends and family.
To melt almond bark in a crockpot, begin by breaking it into smaller pieces and placing them in the crockpot.
Set the crockpot to low heat and stir the bark occasionally until it reaches a smooth, melted consistency. Be sure to monitor the melting process to prevent overheating or burning.
If your Crockpot Christmas Candy isn’t setting, it might be due to various factors, such as insufficient cooking time, incorrect temperature settings, or not allowing enough cooling time.
Additionally, ensure that the almond bark is thoroughly melted and properly mixed with the other ingredients, as the consistency of the almond bark can affect the candy’s setting process.
