Ingredient Notes

  • Chocolate chips – I used a mixture of white chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips and German chocolate for this recipe.
  • White Almond bark – Grab a bar of this white candy from your favorite store. If you can’t find it you can also use white candy melts.
  • Roasted salted peanuts – Use any brand you like (try not to eat them all before adding them to the slow cooker). I like to use salted peanuts to balance out the sweetness.
  • Sprinkles – A selection of Christmas sprinkles; the more the merrier.

Expert Tips

  • For the best-tasting candy, use good-quality milk chocolate chips.
  • Be sure that you are stirring occasionally, as the recipe calls for.
  • It would be best if you kept the mixture warm when scooping, so leave the crockpot on during this process.
  • To make scooping easier and ensure the clusters are the same size, I like to use a small cookie scoop.
  • Make sure to add the sprinkles while the chocolate is still warm and soft so they will adhere. Set out about 6 candy clusters at a time, then add sprinkles before scooping out the following 6 clusters, and then keep repeating.
  • If you prefer, you can scoop the peanut clusters into cupcake liners instead of directly on the baking sheets. You can also make them into shapes.
  • You can easily double this recipe to serve a crowd or to make edible gifts. Just make sure your crockpot is large enough for all the ingredients.

Delicious Variations

This Crock pot candy recipe is super versatile! Try some of these easy variations;

  • Swap the chocolate chips – Feel free to use white or German chocolate instead.
  • Other add-ins – mix in other goodies like chopped pretzels, rice krispy cereal, raisins, toffee bits, mini marshmallows, or dried fruit like cranberries.
  • Vary the sprinkles – Accessorize your candy with sprinkles in different colors and shapes to suit different occasions, such as Halloween, Easter, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Game Day, etc.
  • Use different nuts – You can use macadamia nuts, almonds and pecans—roasted nuts like dry roasted peanuts.
  • Toppings – You can experiment with various toppings for your Crock pot Candy, including crushed nuts, coconut flakes, crushed candy canes, crushed salt, or even drizzles of melted chocolate for an extra decadent touch.
  • Make a crunchy base – What about including a layer of Graham crackers or toffee before you scoop out your treats? So, this will add a crunch to your candy.

Prep And Storage

  • Make Ahead – These Crockpot peanut clusters can be prepared beforehand, making it a convenient option for busy holiday schedules.
  • Store – Store candy inside an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
