  • Edible Decorations – try some or all of these topping suggestions:
    • Flaked Sea Salt
    • Mini chocolate chips
    • Crushed cookies, graham crackers, or candy pieces
    • Shredded coconut
    • Dip Other Treats – While you’ve got the chocolate melted, try dipping other treats like;

Giving As an Edible Gift

Chocolate covered Oreos really are a fun and colorful present to give to all the special people in your life. Place several cookies in a cellophane bag, in a small tin or box, and add a little gift tag. These can be made in advance or even on short notice!

Make Ahead and Storage

  • Make Ahead – Make these up to 3 weeks in advance.
  • Store – Store the cookies in an airtight container on the counter, these will keep up to 3 weeks.
  • Freeze – You can freeze these cookies if you plan to eat them straight out of the freezer. They make a refreshing treat in the summer. However, the chocolate may get wet with condensation when thawing, so we don’t recommend freezing these if you plan to give them as a gift.
