Is it OK for me to share another Pimm’s cocktail recipe? Being that it is summer, BBQ season and all that.
I am totally hearing all your yeses so a Pimm’s cocktail it is.
We had an impromptu BBQ a few weekends back with some friends we had not seen for a long time. They called us up with 45 minutes notice and the food blogger in me welcomed the challenge of producing BBQ food and drinks before they arrived. Thank heavens for pantry staples like sausages, pitta bread, hummus and yoghurt. And bottles of Pimm’s hidden right at the back of the cupboard. BBQ totally sorted.
What an afternoon it was – full of food, drinks, walks and plans for more regular met ups.
I like making big pitchers of Pimm’s as they are a great crowd-pleaser whilst being easy and quick to make. You can customise them with various fruits etc. Even though I have given measurements you can whip them up by eye adding in a little bit more Pimm’s or a little bit more lemonade to your taste. This one has less alcohol that my previous Pimm’s no 1 and lemonade cocktail and more fruit which is perfect for long warm afternoons.
I hope this fruity and refreshing summer Pimm’s cocktail features in all your BBQ’s impromtu or planned.
