Ham and Cream Cheese Roll Ups Tips

  • Soften the cream cheese before mixing so that it will be easier to mix and spread.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing into pinwheels. The process will be much easier.
  • Don’t slice the rollups if you’re making ahead and plan to freeze them or keep them in the fridge for several days.
  • Slice right before serving so the ingredients don’t ooze out and your tortillas don’t get soggy.

Recipe Variations

Ranch Ham Roll Ups are yummy and delicious as is, but you can easily change them up to suit your taste. Try some of these flavor variations:

  • Use different tortillas – use flour tortillas instead of corn, or try using flavored tortilla wraps. Spinach, sundried tomato, and cilantro tortillas are great options.
  • Try different seasonings – Swap out regular ranch seasoning mix for the spicy ranch, fiesta ranch, or even creamy dill ranch mixes.
  • Stuff it – If you have a child with an adventurous palate you can stuff your rollups. Try a dill pickle spear, olives or roasted red peppers.
  • Try other meats and cheeses – Swap out the ham for turkey or roast beef. Add a layer of swiss cheese or sprinkle in some feta cheese.

FAQS

Do I Need To Chop The Ham?

If you want to save even more time, you can skip the step of chopping the ham. Spread the cheese and add the green onions and spinach before topping with two or three slices of thin ham and rolling.

NOTE: The cream cheese does act like a “glue” to hold all the ingredients in place and you lose a bit of that when using whole sliced of ham. Therefore you may want to serve these as a wrap sandwich rather than cutting into pinwheels.

Can I Leave Out The Tortillas?

If you are watching your carb intake or simply don’t like tortillas, you can easily leave them out. Use slices of ham in place of the tortilla. Spread the cheese mixture directly onto the ham slices, add the green onions and spinach and roll. You can also make these using large lettuce leaves instead of the tortilla wraps.

  1. Writing with Authenticity and Vulnerability
Authenticity and vulnerability academic writing allow writers to connect with readers on a genuine level. Writers should be willing to express their unique voice, share personal experiences, and explore their own vulnerabilities. By doing so, they create an intimate connection with readers and foster a sense of shared humanity.

  2. Truly one of the best snacks for schoolchildren. And some school district administrations are starting to collect similar recipes for schoolchildren to eat wholesome and healthy food. I study history and love to read various essays about the war that site I was wondering how they form the food ration for soldiers who have to endure great physical exertion. I was surprised, but I learned that similar principles were used for the diet in the schools of my city. I am glad that fast food is gradually being phased out in school canteens.
