We are a pizza-loving family. Which means we always have some pizza (homemade or takeaway) leftover in the fridge. #bestleftoverever.
All great up until the kids come home from school and need dinner or a snack like yesterday.
At which point I throw the slices into the microwave and they come out oily and soggy – everything the perfect pizza is not. So I started looking at an alternative way to reheat pizza.

So I have tested these 674381000 times over the last month and come up with this ultimate guide on how to Reheat Pizza In the Air Fryer.
Important Guidelines For Reheating Pizza
The thinner your pizza base is, the faster it will reheat – so you will need to cook thinner pizzas for a shorter time than thicker pizzas.
A rough guideline is that thinner pieces may need 3-4 minutes and thicker slices may need 5-6 minutes.
Also, individual pieces may vary slightly in thickness so try and put pieces of similar thickness in at the same time. That way your pizza slices can cook at about the same rate.

You can always reduce the temperature. If you notice your pizza starting to burn before it warms through, then reduce the temperature by about 25 degrees for the next batch.
Remove slices as soon as they are warmed through. Don’t be tempted to let the slices sit in the air fryer after they are warmed through. They will keep cooking and dry out or even get burnt.
So, we are reheating pizza in the air fryer from now on. Are you with me?!

Some FAQ’s
How Long To Reheat Pizza In Air Fryer
This depends entirely on the temperature you use and the type of pizza aka thin crust or thick crust. Use the guidelines of the guide you are following. I like my pizza between 4-5 minutes.
But if you are unsure, then always test the pizza after about 3-4 minutes. If not reheated to your liking, then reheat for 1-2 minutes at a time, checking after every extra reheat.

Do I Need To Use Oil?
No, you don’t need to use oil when reheating your pizza…but you can. If you think your pizza is going to stick, then spray some oil on the Air Fryer Basket or tray.
Alternatively, if you want a really crispy base, then you can use this spray bottle and spray only a little bit of olive oil on the pizza base before cooking.
