FAQs
Cooking green beans on high pressure for 0 mins (yes zero!) gives you perfect pressure cooker green beans with a perfect amount of bite. However if you like softer green beans, you can up the cooking time to 1 minute.
Either way, make sure to allow for a complete natural pressure release (NPR) and then immediately remove from the heat. Don’t leave on the ‘keep warm’ setting or you will end up with mushy green beans.

Thought it was good, but at 2 hours natural release it still wasn’t done – is there a version of this with quick release?
I am loving the combo of garlic butter and green beans. You had me at it!
You had me at garlic butter. A lovely side dish!
I love sesame oil but when do I add it in the recipe? It seems to be missing or I’m overlooking it. Garlic and butter with the sesame will be awesome.
Yes, I was wondering the same thing. When is the Toasted Sesame Oil used?
This is a great snack option for kids who do not eat veggies. Flavorful and healthy too.
This flavor combination might make me actually enjoy eating my green beans 🙂 Great recipe!
Love Beans! I will just use vegetable stock and I cook them. 🙂
