What Is The Difference Between Hot Chocolate and Hot Cocoa

It turns out that there is a difference between hot chocolate and hot cocoa. Hot cocoa is normally a mixture of milk (or water), cocoa powder and sugar, along with optional flavorings like vanilla, peppermint and spices like cinnamon.

On the other hand, hot chocolate is a thicker more decadent drinks as it involves real chocolate melted into some milk. The better the quality of the chocolate the more luxurious the drink.  Optional flavourings can be added to taste.

To be honest, I will still interchangeably use the words Instant Pot Hot Chocolate and Instant Pot Hot Cocoa, because I know that whatever I call it, it will still be the warm comforting drink I NEED.

So, here’s to hot chocolate season, cold weather, wood burning fires, me time moments and this decadent vegan hot chocolate, EVERY. Single. Day.
