Folks, I am a good friend. I know that sounds like I am blowing my own horn a little bit, but I am only repeating what I was told by a friend of mine who is on the keto diet. She has been on it for a few months and loooves it (and now has very loose clothing to show for it).

Like the good friend I am, I have been helping her find flavourful, exciting keto recipes. She eats all the ‘plain’ keto foods like avocados, meats, eggs, greens, etc. (which are quite good) but I have been helping her find all the extra-good stuff.

I started off with my roundup of 12 Easy Keto Recipes You’ll Want to Make Right Now (she loved it) and then my roundup of 17 Unbelievably Good Keto Desserts (she really loved it and is still talking about the cheesecake).

Recently, she told me she was keen on finding some really, really good keto snacks. And off I went, 1) researching keto snacks pantry staples (for those times when you don’t have time for a recipe) and 2) compiling amazing keto friendly snacks from fellow food bloggers.

I ended up with this: The Complete Guide to Keto Snacks with over 50 keto snack ideas. I told her to expect the post soon and that’s when the whole ‘good friend’ bit came about. I am very happy when I can make my friends very happy, so it’s a win-win.

Note: You can still eat these keto snacks even if you aren’t on the keto diet. There are so many good snacks to choose from here.

What is the Keto Diet?

For those of you who don’t know, the keto diet is a diet that promotes high fat, low carb eating. The idea is that by reducing carbs and increasing fat, the body enters a state of ketosis which results in benefits (including fat burning).

Don’t Forget to Adhere to the #1 Rule of Keto Snacks

When you reach for a snack on the keto diet, remember the #1 rule of keto snacking: Aim for a high-fat snack. So don’t just eat asparagus. Eat asparagus cooked in butter. (I like this rule very much.)
