Ingredient Notes
- Pizza sauce – Use your favorite store-bought pizza sauce or make your own for extra flavor.
- Cream cheese, softened – Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing. This adds a creamy, tangy base.
- Shredded cheddar cheese – Cheddar brings a sharp, rich flavor. You can use mild, medium, or sharp cheddar based on your preference.
- Shredded mozzarella – Mozzarella melts beautifully and gives that classic pizza cheese pull. Use whole milk mozzarella for the best texture.
- Pepperoni slices – Add as many or as few as you like. For a spicier kick, try using spicy pepperoni.
- Optional Italian seasoning – This is optional but it does add a nice blend of herbs like oregano, basil, and thyme, enhancing the pizza flavor. But feel free to use your favorites.

FAQs
Pizza dip is made of pizza sauce, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar and mozzarella, and pepperoni slices. You can also add a sprinkle of Italian seasoning for extra flavor.
You can use regular tomato sauce as a substitute for pizza sauce in a pinch. However, you might want to add some extra seasoning like oregano, basil, garlic powder, and a pinch of sugar to give it that classic pizza flavor.
For pizza dip, use a 9-inch pie dish or a shallow casserole dish. These dishes ensure even heating and allow the dip to bake thoroughly, resulting in a bubbly, cheesy top. If using an air fryer, oven-safe ramekins work great for individual portions.
