Last year around this time, I made an easy puff pastry tart (Caramelised Onion, Brie, and Brussels Sprout Tart) and deemed its easiness part of my ‘not much cooking’ holiday relaxation plan.
It’s certainly the season for easy puff pastry recipes because here I am again this year with another one. Instead of a savoury tart like last year, this tart is topped with a layer of sweetened cream cheese, colourful berries, and a dusting of icing sugar.
(If you’ve been scouring the internet looking for delicious puff pastry breakfast recipes, you can stop right here because you’ve found one.)
Best of all, this Berries and Cream Cheese Puff Pastry Breakfast Tart makes the perfect grown-up sharing breakfast – perfect for the holiday season when big breakfast gatherings are common. Gather some family and friends round and serve this breakfast tart alongside some beverages and other breakfast favourites of yours.
You’ll be happy because it’s a breeze to make and your guests will be happy because, well, look at it. And it tastes even better than it looks.
How to Make This Easy Berries and Cream Cheese Puff Pastry Breakfast Tart
Berries and Cream Cheese Puff Pastry Breakfast Tart has a bit of a ‘secret weapon.’
Part of what makes this tart so easy to make is the inclusion of Primula’s ‘Original Cheese’ cream cheese. You might know Primula best from their famous cheese tubes (available in six different flavours), but they also make dips and spreads. The folks at Primula make the good stuff: gluten free, no artificial flavours, colours, or preservatives, and suitable for mums to be.
And did you know Primula’s profits go to charity? Primula is owned by Kavli Trust, a UK charitable organisation that donates thousands of pounds to good causes each year. How often do you get to eat good food and make a difference in the world? Not often enough, I’d say.
With a tube of Original Cheese in hand, here is all you need to do:
Step 1. Bake puff pastry.
Step 2. Whip Primula Original Cheese, cream, and sugar.
Step 3. Spread whipped cream cheese mixture on puff pastry.
Step 4. Add fruit (I suggest blueberries and raspberries, but feel free to experiment) and dust with icing sugar.
Step 5. Cut into several servings, gather round a few wonderful people, and enjoy.
Once you try it, I think you’ll understand why I love it so much. Simple, easy, and delicious… perfection.

Until then, I hope you love this Berries and Cream Cheese Puff Pastry Breakfast Tart as much as I do. (And if you’re looking for more easy breakfast recipes, how about my Keto Pancakes and Instant Pot Steel Cut Oats?)
