Recipe Tips

  • Let the chicken come to room temperature for about 20 minutes which will help with crisping up and to ensure that the chicken will be heated all the way through.
  • Reheat wings that are similar sized together. That way you end up with meat that has cooked at the same rate.
  • If you want the wings crispier, then spray with a tiny amount olive oil a couple of minutes before taking them out.
  • Do preheat the Air Fryer before cooking.

Plus….

  • While you are reheating the chicken, keep a close watch on it. 5 minutes is an average cooking time, but you may need more or less depending on the size of your chicken pieces.
  • Don’t overcrowd the basket. Make sure there is space between the wings so the hot air can circulate and crisp them up.
  • If your chicken looks dryish, then spray it with a little water before adding it to the air fryer basket.

Storage

  • Store – Leftover fried chicken wings should be placed in an airtight container and refrigerated immediately. They will keep for a maximum of 4 days.
  • Reaheat – Do not reheat chicken multiple times. Please only reheat and serve once.
  • Freeze – If not eating leftover wings quickly, then double wrap the cooled wings and freeze them for up to 3 months. Reheat them only when you are ready to eat them.
