Peeps, today it is all about comfort food. This crispy Sage And Brown Butter Gnocchi Sauce with herbs has got to be one of my favourite recipes recently. So simple, so quick and so easy. And with only three ingredients, what’s not to love?
The ingredient that makes this Gnocchi Sauce is the brown butter. If you have never made brown butter before then you should drop everything and try this right now. Brown butter is one of those cooking shortcuts that give stunningly simple and flavourful results. The butter changes from the creamy goodness that we know to a nutty, salty sweet sauce that makes everything taste soooooooooo decadent.
But as with any dish the better the ingredients you put in, the better it will taste. So choose really good butter, like Bertolli with Butter and Olive Oil. This is currently one of my big fridge staples aka.
I absolutely adore the creamy buttery flavour which is enhanced by the addition of specially selected olive oil. So totally caters to both butter lovers and olive oil lovers. If like me you normally cook with both, then we are covered. It really adds that little extra vibrant oomph to dishes.
How to Make Gnocchi Sauce – In Three Simple Steps
Simples right? This really is the perfect weeknight supper as well as the recipe to turn to when you NEED some comfort food and need it quick.
Although this is a Gnocchi Sauce, you can use it for dipping in Grilled veggies, Flatbreads and drizzling over Sweet Potatoes right?
Peeps, I digress a little with my butter love. Back to the sage and brown butter gnocchi sauce with herbs recipe because, well it is so good. Oh and the crispy fried sage, yes those little nuggets of buttery crispy deliciousness along with the herbs, a little taste of Mediterranean heaven in every single mouthful.
Perfect for a easy supper, a family lunch out in the sun or for a sneaky me time treat (don’t judge me, peeps) right?

If you prefer a Gnocchi Cream Sauce, then you would simply add in some double (heavy) cream, parmesan and lemon zest and you are good to go.
