Easy Christmas Treat
Yep, this no-bake strawberry cheesecake Santa hat lets me indulge in the Christmas flavors and fun I love in an easy-to-make, no-bake form. They are perfect for the busy Christmas party and festive season when the last thing you want to do is turn on the oven again.
They only need a few simple ingredients and a few minutes to prep ahead of time, then I simply keep them in the fridge until needed. Stress-free entertaining, I tell you. They are so easy to make that the kids can make them unsupervised.
Ingredient Notes
- Crumbled Oreos – This calls for the original cookies, but tbh you can use other flavors.
- Butter – I prefer salted butter but you may want to use unsalted butter or coconut oil.
- Cream Cheese – I use the full-fat cream cheese.
- Greek yogurt – Use full-fat, plain yogurt in this. Flavored yogurts will change the taste.
- Honey – Adds in sweetness, I have used maple syrup too.
- Almond extract – I love the nutty Christmas flavor this adds. This has a stronger flavor than vanilla extract so use it sparingly. Add more if you love the taste.
- Strawberries – Use the fresh and the sweetest strawberries you can find.

How To Make It
Get complete ingredients list and instructions from the recipe card further below.
Step 1 – Line a 6-cup muffin pan with liners. Crush the Oreos in a food processor, mix with melted butter, and press about 2 tablespoons of the mixture into each cup. Freeze for 15 minutes.
Step 2 – Beat cream cheese until smooth, then mix in Greek yogurt, honey, and almond extract. Divide the filling, smooth the tops, and freeze. Top each cheesecake with a strawberry and a dot of reserved cream cheese for the hat’s topper. Serve.
Bintu’s Tips
- Use mini tins instead, but you’ll need smaller berries and up to 24 berries depending on the yield.
- Easily double or triple the recipe for a crowd.
- Bring the cream cheese to room temperature for easy incorporation.
- Use a measuring cup or the back of a spoon to press the Oreo crust firmly into the muffin cups.
Delicious Variations
- Vary the cookies – Feel free to use golden Oreos or Graham crackers.
- Make an even easier base – Get some ready-to-go chocolate dessert cups during your next grocery shop and use them instead of the Oreo base. My friend makes them with Reese’s cups.
Prep And Storage
- Prep Ahead – Bring cream cheese to room temperature and crush the Oreos.
- Store – Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. I recommend storing it without the strawberry topping though.
- Freeze – Freeze without the topping for up to 1 month.
FAQs
These no-bake bites are made of a crushed Oreo crust mixed with melted butter, topped with a creamy filling of cream cheese, Greek yogurt, honey, and almond extract. They are finished with fresh strawberries and a dollop of cream cheese for decoration.
If your no-bake cheesecake isn’t firming up, it might be due to the cream cheese not being at room temperature, which affects smoothness and setting.
Chill the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Proper mixing and correct ingredient ratios are crucial, as too much liquid or not enough thickening agents can prevent it from setting.
I personally don’t like freezing these. But if you are short on time place them in the freezer for about 1 to 2 hours.
For the best results, make sure it’s firm before serving, but avoid freezing it for too long, as it can become too hard.
