  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Maple Syrup
  • Cinnamon (optional add in)
  • Dairy free butter (optional add in)
  • Pecans and almonds (optional add in)
  • And water for cooking (optional add in)

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel and cube the sweet potatoes.
  2. Add them to the slow cooker, followed by the water and then cover the slow cooker.
  3. Cook on high for 2-3 hours or on low for 4-5 hours.
  4. Open the lid and add the dairy free butter, maple syrup and cinnamon and mash (do not drain the water!).
  5. Serve Slow Cooker Sweet Potatoes mash warm topped with pecans and extra maple syrup to taste.

  • I prefer to cook the sweet potatoes directly in the insert to avoid washing up, but feel free to cook them on a trivet if you prefer.
