There is just something about Crockpot Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal (Slow Cooker Oatmeal). Do you know what I mean? The end result is just fluffier, creamier and more moreish than expected. So when I need a break from my other 3 breakfast loves aka muffins, pancakes and rice (Instant Pot Rice — the total opposite of slow cooker), I automatically turn to Crockpot Oatmeal.
Which works out well as mini chefs are oat monsters. They think nothing of snacking on 2 handfuls of uncooked oats each before sitting down to a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge bowl of this Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal topped with lots of apples and seeds. Seriously.
How To Make Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal In The Crockpot
This Crockpot Oatmeal is the easiest recipe you can make.
- Chop apples, measure out almond milk, maple syrup, cinnamon and ginger.
- Throw everything into the slow cooker, put on high, cover and leave it all for 2hrs.
That is it.
We do all this then go out to look for bear, fox and chicken up in the trees (from the wonderful children’s book the chicken thief) and everything else too. We get back to a kitchen smelling like baked apples and perfectly cooked slow cooker oats. Then we sit down and tuck right in.

You describe these wonderfully, I need to fly out and get a slow cooker now! They do sound delicious. Can you use cow’s milk in this or does it not slow cook as well? GG
I have made these with both cows and almond milk. It just depends on what I am in the mood for.
Ooh wow how yummy! Healthy too! I’m gonna have to try this! x
Enjoy every mouthfull
I am so envious of your kids! Sounds like such a perfect morning, especially now it’s getting to autumn and the woods will be full of gorgeous leaves. Slow cooker oats sound lovely, and a lot less hassle if you have the time spare 🙂

I love oats for breakfast – especially at this time of year. So warming now the mornings are getting chilly!

We don’t have a slow cooker but I hope we will get one soon.
It makes life so easy sometimes A
Love this idea Bintu and not one I’d ever thought of. I grew up on porridge cooked overnight in the aga and it’s the best ever. Now I might be able to recreate something similar.
And I am sure you can add some chocolate to yours too.
I tried it!! TAstes amazing! Love your blog!
Awww. Thanks Rashmi. I am very pleased you came back to tell me.
A great choice for breakfast Bintu and gorgeous photos. I’m loving the black stripey straws.
Sounds amazing Bintu, and inspiring too. I’ve never thought of using the slow cooker to cook up breakie oats BUT am so going to now, thanks!
A serious revolution Lou. Infact you can even set it up to cook overnight.
Mmm, I think it’s time for me to break out the crock pot again for the next 2 seasons! Sounds like the perfect fall breakfast!:-)
