- Place frozen watermelon, strawberries and water inside high-powered blender.
- Add in the maple syrup and mint leaves (if using).
- Blend until mixture reaches preferred smoothie consistency.
- Pour into glasses or mason jars and serve.
Recipe Tips
- Give your smoothie a little zing by adding some fresh lemon juice or lime juice.
- Add ice cubes when blending for a frozen strawberry watermelon smoothie.
- After a while, your smoothie may start to separate, just give it a quick stir and you are good.
- I recommend using seedless watermelon whenever possible.
- You can also use honey or other sweetener instead of maple syrup.

Yes, it is entirely possible to freeze watermelon! I am all about keeping a steady supply of frozen watermelon stocked in my freezer. Especially during those sweltering summer months.
Frozen watermelon is not only perfect for making smoothies, but it is an amaaaaaazing treat all on its own! I store individual servings of cubed watermelon inside ziplock bags ready for the kiddoes to grab when they want a snack. Tasty and healthy, which is a total win-win in the snacking department.
Plus did you know that it only takes 2 hrs to freeze watermelon? Yeap. Which makes it totally possible for you to prepare, freeze, and then use it to whip up a batch of delicious strawberry watermelon smoothies all in the same afternoon.
One important note: when making smoothies with frozen watermelon, a sturdy high-powered blender is what you need to get the job done.
