Crockpot Chocolate Lava Cake

Crockpot Lava Cake is a deliciously gooey, decadent cake made with homemade creamy pudding mix frosting topped with the perfect amount of chocolate chips.

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE CAKE: - Chocolate Cake Mix - Water - Oil - Eggs - Vanilla extract - Instant coffee granules FOR THE TOPPING: - Instant chocolate pudding & pie filling mix - Milk - Milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips

Step 1

Spray a crockpot with cooking spray. In a bowl, use a hand mixer or whisk to mix together cake mix, water, oil, eggs, vanilla and coffee granules until well combined.

Step 2

Add cake batter into crockpot. In another bowl, whisk together milk and pudding mix until combined. Let stand for a few minutes before pouring it over the cake batter. 

Step 3

Sprinkle the bag of chocolate chips on top of the pudding layer, and do not mix in. Cover and cook on High for 2.75 – 3 hours, or until the top of the cake is puffed up and set. 

Step 4

Once baked, remove cake and serve with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream.
