Green Beans Almondine Recipe

Veggie lovers, this low carb Green Beans Almondine is a super easy and elegant side dish that combines crisp green beans with fried almonds with an garlicky lemon butter sauce.


- Green beans - Butter - Shallot - Garlic - Slivered almonds - Lemon juice - Black pepper 

Step 1

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, then add the green beans and blanch for 4-5 mins.

Step 2

Drain the water, transfer green beans to a bowl and set aside. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add in shallots and sauté for a couple of mins.

Step 3

Then add the almonds and garlic and cook for a further couple of mins, until fragrant.

Step 4

Switch off the heat and stir in the lemon juice and green beans till combined. Serve warm.
