  • In a mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar with the water or milk and vanilla, stirring until smooth.

  • Dip the glazed side of the donut into sprinkles and set it down on parchment paper or a cooling rack, sprinkles side up.
  • Repeat process with all of the donuts.
  • Attached edible eyes using edible gel, and let donuts sit for about 30 minutes for the glaze to set and dry.

Notes

  • Get all of your decorations and candy ready before you start decorating.
  • Make the glaze last because it will thicken.
  • Work quickly once you get the glaze made.
  • Mix and match sprinkle colors.
  • Make sure excess glaze drips off otherwise, it gets messy and drips down the side of the donuts taking the sprinkles with it.
  • Fill a piping bag with frosting or melted chocolate chips and attach a thin round tip to the piping bag. Squeeze frosting through the piping bag onto the back of the edible eye candies to stick to the Halloween donuts.
  • Let your kids experiment with candy and decorations to design their own Halloween donut ideas.
  • Storage - keep in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
