⅓cup(80ml) peppermint schnapps

Instructions

Line up your jello shot glasses or plastic shot glasses on a rimmed baking sheet.
Place water and the gelatin in a saucepan and let sit for 5 minutes.
Gently cook this mixture over medium-low heat until the gelatin has fully dissolved. Be careful not to boil the gelatin!
Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the green food coloring.
Add in the peppermint schnapps and vodka, mixing to combine.
Transfer the jello mixture to a pitcher with a pour spout and fill your cups almost all the way to the top.
Cover the shot cups with plastic wrap, then place the baking sheet in the fridge and chill for 4 hours, or until set.
To serve, top each shot with whipped cream and red sprinkles or a sprinkle heart.
Notes
This recipe yields make 8 (2-ounce) jello shots or 16 (1-ounce) jello shots - so plan accordingly.
Make sure the jello is cool before you add in the whipped cream.
Add the whipped cream right before serving, otherwise, you will end up with melted whipped cream everywhere.
You can dip each shot glass rim in red sanding sugar for extra color.
If transferring the Jello mix into a bowl, you can use a ladle to fill the shot glasses.
Cover shot glasses either with plastic wrap or their lids if they come with some.
Please note that vanilla vodka also adds sweetness to this recipe. If you use plain vodka, dissolve about a quarter cup of granulated sugar along with the gelatin in the second step of the recipe.
It is easy to use the baking sheet to transfer them into and out of the refrigerator.
