Air Fryer Lamb Chops

Ingredients

  • 24 ounces (600g) lamb chops 6 average sized chops
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon onion salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Fresh lemon zest to taste

Instructions

  • Use paper towels to pat dry the lamb chops and brush both sides with olive.
  • Combine onion salt, garlic powder, ground coriander, oregano and lemon zest in a small bowl. Sprinkle the seasoning onto both sides of the chops.
  • Place the lamb chops in a single layer inside the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 7 minutes at 375 degrees F / 190 degrees C. Flip the chops and cook for an additional 7-8 minutes or until desired doneness is reached.

Notes

  • Washing lamb chops is not necessary, but you should pat them dry with paper towels before cooking. 
  • Use a silicone brush to brush on the olive oil. 
  • If desired, cover the lamb chops with plastic wrap after seasoning and let them rest for 30 minutes to absorb the flavors. 
  • Preheat air fryer so the lamb chops get a nice sear and crust on the outside. 
  • Cooking times may vary depending on the model of air fryer, the thickness of your lamb chops or your desired level of doneness. 
  • Place lamb chops in a single layer. You may need to air fry in batches so you don’t overcrowd the air fryer. 
  • Cooking beyond medium is not recommended and may bring out a gamey flavor. 
  • Always use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
  • Let the cooked lamb chops rest for a few minutes before serving. 
  • Storage - keep leftovers in an airtight container inside the fridge for up to 4 days.
