Chai Tea

A warming chai tea recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 5 cardamom pods crushed
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1 inch knob of ginger peeled and thinly sliced
  • 4 roiboos teabags
  • 1.5 tbsp honey

Instructions

  • Put spices along with water in the pot and bring to the boil.
  • Reduce heat, cover and let simmer for 10 mins before switching off.
  • Add the tea bags and let steep for 10 mins.
  • Strain the tea and return tea to the pot.
  • Mix in the milk and honey, bring the tea to a simmer and then serve.
