Ingredients

Air Fryer Okra Ingredients:

  • 9 ounces (250g) Okra
  • 3/4 cup (50g) Gluten Free panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Ground coriander
  • Salt
  • 1 Egg

Instructions

Breaded Okra In Air Fryer Instructions:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350 F / 180 C.
  • Wash the okra and pat dry.
  • Remove the ends of the okra, but do not cut into it.
  • In a bowl, beat the egg.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs, paprika, oregano, coriander and salt.
  • Then, dip the okra into the egg wash and let some of the excess drip off.
  • next dip the okra into the panko mixture, turning over until well coated. Set coated okra aside on a tray or plate and continue until done.
  • Place okra in a single layer inside the air fryer basket and cook for 5-6 mins per side. Use tongs to turn and cook for an additional 5-6 mins until done (bigger and tougher okra may take a little longer).

Notes

Fried Okra In Air Fryer Tips

  • Make sure to that there is enough space in between the okra when air frying. If needed, you can prep and cook the okra in batches.
  • Don’t let the okra sit in the breading or it will get soggy.
  • No air fryer? No problem! You can make this Crispy Roasted Okra instead.
