Ingredients

  • 1 apple diced small
  • 1/8 teaspoon apple pie spice
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
  • 1 roll of pizza dough
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  • Add diced apple into a nonstick saucepan and cook for over low heat, stirring constantly for about 5 mins or until soft.
  • Mix in the apple pie spice and caramel sauce and switch off the heat.
  • Roll out the pizza dough and cut into 6-inch by 2-inch strips.
  • Spoon a line of the caramel apple mixture down the middle of each donut strip.
  • Bring the sides of each donut strip together and pinch to seal then Curl the ends of each piece together to make a circle and seal.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350F / 180C and spray the cooking basket with olive oil spray.
  • Cook the donuts for 6 to 9 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  • Melt butter and in a bowl combine sugar and cinnamon
  • Dip donuts first into the butter and then coat with cinnamon sugar before serving.

Notes

  • These treats are best served fresh.
  • Do not stack your donuts in the air fryer. Allow enough room for the air to circulate around your donuts so they cook evenly.
  • For best cooking results, make sure your Air Fryer doughnuts are the same size. But you can have fun and vary the size of your donuts from batch to batch.
  • Air fryer temperatures can vary depending on the make and model. I recommend starting out with less cook time, checking for doneness, and then adding more time as needed.
