Add all of the ingredients to a mixing bowl and combine, being careful not to over-work the mixture.
Shape into 6 individual burger patties and add them to the air fryer basket in batches, making sure they do not touch.
Spray each patty with olive oil or no-calorie cooking spray, and air fry for 5 minutes, then flip over and cook for another 5 minutes.
If desired, top each patty with a slice of cheese and cook for 20 seconds more, then remove from the air fryer.
Repeat the process until all your burgers are cooked.
Notes
Just lightly mix all the ingredients. Over-mixing can cause dry, tough burgers.
If the meat mixture is sticky, wet your hands before forming the patties.
Toss hamburger buns into the air fryer for 40 seconds to make them warm and toasty.
Air fryer temperatures can vary depending on the make and model, so it is important to always check your food for doneness.
Pro Tip: when cooking meat, always check the internal temperature using a meat thermometer. Ground turkey is considered done and safe to eat when it has reached an internal temperature of 165F / 74C.There is just 1 Blue Plan SmartPoint in a serving (buns, cheese, and toppings not included).
