Ingredients

  • 8 bratwurst
  • 2 bell peppers deseeded and sliced
  • ½ large red onion peeled and sliced
  • buns
  • Dijon mustard

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 350F /180C.
  • Place veggies in the air fryer basket.
  • Place bratwurst on top and then cook for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through or till brats are golden brown.
  • Remove from the air fryer, and place brats on the buns. Top with veggies and then garnish with mustard.

Notes

  • Cut the peppers and onions into similar-sized pieces to allow for even cooking.
  • Turn the brats halfway through cooking.
  • Check for doneness with a meat thermometer. Brats should reach a temperature of at least 160 F / 71 C.
  • Be careful when inserting the thermometer probe into the meat, which sometimes causes the juices to spurt out.
  • Cooking times can vary depending on the model of your air fryer.
  • While the brats rest, feel free to toast the bread for 2 minutes or until golden.
  • Store – Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge and eaten within 4 days. Reheat in the microwave.
  • There are 8 WW Blue Plan SmartPoints in one serving (without buns).
