Instant Pot Frozen Pierogies with Air Fryer Lid

  • Spray the Instant Pot insert with a little oil or non-stick cooking spray. Spray both sides of the Pierogies with olive oil or cooking spray and add them in a single layer.Be sure to leave space so the air can get in between them to cook evenly.
  • Place the air fryer lid on the Instant Pot, set to 400 degrees F /200 degrees C and cook for 12-16 minutes, turning over halfway through the cooking time. Enjoy pierogies warm.

Notes

  • These will be golden and puffy when done.
  • For the best results do not overcrowd the air fryer basket so that the hot air circulates around all sides. Place them in a single layer and do not stack them.
  • The amount you can fit in depends on the size of your air fryer basket or tray. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • Don't skip the step of lightly spraying the pierogies with oil or cooking spray. This not only enhances the crispiness but also helps achieve that golden brown color. A little goes a long way, so a light coating on both sides is perfect.
  • For the best results, flip the pierogies about half way through cooking.
  • The inside of the pierogies gets quite hot, so let them cool down a little bit before you dig in.
  • You may need to cook for a few minutes more if you want them crispier pierogies.
  • Once they're done, resist the temptation to dive right in. Let the pierogies cool slightly before serving. This not only prevents any accidental burns but also allows the flavors to settle, making each bite even more enjoyable.
  • Air fryer temperatures can vary depending on the make and model. I recommend starting with less cook time, checking for doneness, then adding more time as needed.
  • There are 6 WW Blue Plan SmartPoints in one serving.
