Air Fryer Onions

Ingredients

  • 1 white onion
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  • Preheat the Air Fryer to 350 degrees F / 180 degrees C.
  • Remove the skins and slice onions into evenly thick slices.
  • Place the sliced onions in an air fryer basket and brush with balsamic vinegar.
  • Air fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown to your taste. Carefully flip the onions halfway through cooking.

Notes

  • Slice or cut the onions into even-sized pieces so they cook evenly. 
  • For thin slices or smaller pieces of onions, you may need to shorten the cooking time.
  • For thicker, larger pieces of onions, you may need to add some cooking time. 
  • Spray the air fryer basket with a bit of cooking spray, avocado oil, or olive oil to prevent the onions from sticking. 
  • Air fried onions will shrink a bit as they cook. 
  • Toss the sliced onions halfway through cooking or more often for smaller onions.
  •  Air fryer temperatures can vary depending on the make and model. Use cooking time listed as a guide, check for doneness, and adjust as needed.
