Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450g) green beans
  • cooking spray
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F / 200 degrees C.
  • Add the green beans to a bowl and spray with some low-calorie spray and the best salt ever and combine.
  • Place the beans into the air fryer basket and cook for 6-8 minutes, turning a couple of times during cooking so that they brown evenly.
  • Remove and serve topped with some extra salt and chopped herbs if you like.

Notes

  • Finer green beans as I use here need 6-8 minutes.
  • If you are using larger beans then you may need 8-10 minutes.
  • If you have a small air fryer, then cook beans in 2 batches.
  • Make sure you top and tail your beans before air frying them.
  • Make sure the beans are dry before spraying with cooking spray.
  • If you don't have a cooking spray you can use olive oil but this will increase the calorie count of the portion.
  • Storage - keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 4 days.
