Instant Pot Cabbage
Buttered cabbage is a cheap, yet flavorful side dish your family will love.
Instant Pot Cabbage Ingredients:
- 1 cup (236 ml) chicken broth
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 large head of cabbage roughly chopped (to 1-inch sections minimum)
- 1/4 tsp of ground nutmeg
- salt and pepper to taste
Instant Pot Instructions:
Pour the stock into the Instant Pot insert.
Add the butter for the Instant Pot Cabbage into the insert with the stock.
Next, add the cabbage into the insert and make sure that it is below the Instant Pot fill line.
Sprinkle nutmeg over the buttered cabbage. Don’t just dump it in, as you don’t want it to clump.
Cover and turn the valve to the sealing position. Select the manual pressure button and set to high pressure for 5 mins.
When the Instant Pot Cabbage is done, perform a Quick Pressure Release and season your buttered cabbage with salt and pepper.
Gently stir until it is all mixed together well. Serve warm and enjoy.
