  • 2 lbs (907g) sweet potatoes peeled and cut into 2-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup ( 62.5ml) water
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp dairy-free butter
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • salt to taste


  • Wash, peel and cube the sweet potatoes.
  • Add them to the slow cooker, followed by the water and then cover the slow cooker.
  • Cook on high for 2-3 hours or on low for 4-5 hours.
  • Open the lid and add the dairy free butter, maple syrup and cinnamon and mash (do not drain the water!).
  • Serve Slow Cooker Sweet Potatoes mash warm topped with pecans and extra maple syrup to taste.
