- 2 lbs (907g) sweet potatoes peeled and cut into 2-inch cubes
- 1/4 cup ( 62.5ml) water
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp dairy-free butter
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- salt to taste
Wash, peel and cube the sweet potatoes.
Add them to the slow cooker, followed by the water and then cover the slow cooker.
Cook on high for 2-3 hours or on low for 4-5 hours.
Open the lid and add the dairy free butter, maple syrup and cinnamon and mash (do not drain the water!).
Serve Slow Cooker Sweet Potatoes mash warm topped with pecans and extra maple syrup to taste.
