  • 1/2 small onion grated or very finely diced
  • 1/2 bell pepper, deseeded preferably grated or very finely diced
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 Tablespoon sriracha sauce or tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning or oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • sea salt to taste

  • Add in oats, cilantro, onion, bell pepper, lemon juice, sriracha sauce (or tomato sauce), herbs and spices and mix together.
  • Divide and shape into 4 patties.

How To Make Fried Veggie Burgers

  • Create burger patties following steps 1-3 from Air Fryer instructions.
  • Heat a pan with 1 Tablespoon oil on medium heat.
  • Cook patties until golden brown, turning half way through.

Notes

  • Make sure to shape your burger patties so they fit inside your Air Fryer basket.
  • When cooking your patties from frozen, add a few minutes to the cooking time.
  • You may want to refrigerate your bean burger mixture for 20-30 minutes before you form the patties so the oats can soak up any moisture and the mixture firms up.
  • Use a measuring cup to make your patties a more uniform size.
  • Thicker burger patties may need a few extra minutes of cook time.
  • Serve these veggie burger patties with lots of burger sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and whatever other burger toppings you love.
