- 1 pound (450g) shredded cabbage about half a small cabbage
- 1 small carrot shredded
- 3 green onions finely sliced
Dressing
- 1/2 cup (115g) mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 tbsp white sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp buttermilk
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- 1 tsp celery seed
- 1-2 tsp dried dill
- salt to taste
Mix together the first 3 ingredients in a large bowl and set aside.
In another bowl, mix together all the dressing ingredients until combined.
Combine the 2 bowls and mix all together until combined.
Let sit for 60 minutes for the flavors to blend in refrigerator, stir again and then serve.
- Always keep coleslaw in refrigerator until ready to serve.
- If short on time or prefer the convenience, feel free to use premade coleslaw mix.
- If you like, you can chop the cabbage up even finer, a food processor may help.
- Celery seeds or celery salt can be a nice addition too.
