Grinch Punch

Festive Grinch Punch is easy to make and totally kid-approved!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups (720ml) sprite lemon lime soda
  • 3 cups (720ml) water
  • 12 ounces (340g) frozen lemonade concentrate that has been thawed
  • 1 cup (240ml) pineapple juice
  • 1 tablespoon liquid green Kool-aid flavoring or to taste
  • red sanding sugar for glass rims
  • ice cubes if desired

Instructions

  • Mix together sprite, water, lemonade concentrate, pineapple juice, and Kool-Aid in a large pitcher.
  • Dip the glass rims in water and then into the sanding sugar to coat them.
  • Pour Grinch punch into glasses, add in ice cubes if desired, and serve.

Notes

    • Make sure all ingredients are well-chilled before mixing. This helps keep your punch cold without needing excessive ice, which can dilute the flavors.
    • For a festive touch, go for clear glass or plastic cups to show off the vibrant green color.
    • Mason jars or punch bowls also work well for larger gatherings.
    • Add colorful garnish like strawberries or use maraschino cherries for Grinch "hearts." Add a sprig of fresh mint or a candy cane for a festive touch.
    • Rimming the glasses with sugar really takes this up a notch but do this just before serving so the sugars don't dissolve.
    • If you're serving the punch over an extended period, consider using a punch bowl with an ice ring or a large ice block to keep the drink cold without dilution.
    • If mixing in advance, combine all of the ingredients except for the soda. Add this just before serving so it will be nice and bubbly.
    • You can easily double or triple this recipe for a crowd.
    • Make Grinch punch with alcohol for the grown-ups. 
    • Storage -  this punch can be refrigerated for 3-4 days, but will lose the carbonation.
