- 1 cup (227g) butter unsalted
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 orange juice and zest
Start by softening the butter for 30 seconds in the microwave.
Add the zest and juice of one orange and honey, stirring to combine.
Form the butter into a log shape and wrap in parchment paper. Or, tranfer to a mason jar and place inside the fridge.
Before serving, allow the honey butter to come to room temperature.
- To really bring out the flavor, add in a pinch of sea salt.
- This recipe is fantastic on homemade bread and banana bread.
- Make sure to use unsalted butter. If you use salted butter, don’t add any additional optional salt.
- Using room temperature butter makes it easier to work with. This may eliminate the need to microwave it to soften it first.
