  • Top with a bit of chocolate chips and some crushed graham crackers
  • Wrap in foil and cook over the grill on a fire until the whole banana is black.

How To Make In Oven

  • Assemble as normal through the wrapping portion of step 4.
  • Preheat oven to 350F/180C and cook for 15-20 minutes.

Notes

Don’t overstuff your banana or you’ll have a hard time closing and wrapping it up.
If you’d like, you can add parchment paper in between your food and the aluminum foil to err on the side of caution while cooking your food, to help make sure your food stays safe while it cooks.
Make sure the wrapped banana rests safely in the grill grates over the fire while cooking and that they’re toppings side up
If your campfire is starting to die down to only embers, use a stick to spread out some embers and cook your dessert on that. Let the heat from the embers cook it for a few minutes while it’s wrapped up, topping side up.
Always use tongs to remove dessert from fire or embers. If it’s slightly mushy, it’s ready, if it’s firm, it still needs a bit of cooking time.
Be careful when opening the foil as steam may release and dessert may be hot, but foil should cool rather quickly once removed from heat source.
Guys, you can even make these campfire banana boats over your grill in the backyard too.
