Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F / 200 degrees C.
Place frozen waffle fries in a single layer inside the air fryer basket.
Air fry for 8-10 minutes, turning halfway through.
If you want them crispier, you can air fry for a couple more minutes, but keep an eye on them so they don't burn.
Carefully remove from air fryer, season as desired, and serve.
To Make in Instant Pot with Air Fryer Lid
Put the Instant Pot Air Fryer Basket into the Instant Pot and add frozen waffle fries into the Air Fryer Basket (you will need to do this in batches).
Lock the Air Fryer Lid, Select air fryer function, set to 400 degrees F / 200 degrees C for 15 minutes, and press start.
Cook until about 7 minutes and check - this will give you and idea of how much more time is needed. Cook for about 4-6 minutes more and then check again. If not done then cook for a further few minutes.

Notes
Preheat the air fryer before cooking the waffle fries.
Make sure to separate any fries that may be stuck together before cooking.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer so the crinkle-cut fries cook evenly. If your air fryer is small you may need to cook this in batches.
If using an oven-style Air Fryer, use the middle tray for the best results.
While you can cook these without oil, lightly spraying the waffle fries with a bit of cooking oil can enhance their crispiness and prevent sticking. Use an oil sprayer for an even distribution.
Shake or flip the fries halfway through cooking.
Air fryer temperatures can vary depending on the make and model. I recommend starting with less cook time, checking for doneness, then adding more time as needed.
It's possible there may be a bit of liquid inside the bottom of the air fryer basket from the melted ice. If so, use tongs to remove the cooked fries and then carefully pour out excess water.
The waffle fries will be really hot, so allow them to cool down before eating.
If you replace the oil with a calorie-controlled cooking spray, there are 8 Blue Plan SmartPoints in one serving.
