Ingredients

  • 3 ripe peaches
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • oil optional for grilling

To serve

  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • ice cream optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  • Slice the peaches in half and remove the pit.
  • Place the peaches flesh side down and grill for about 4 minutes.
  • Turn the peaches skin side down and then drizzle with maple syrup.
  • Grill for another 4-6 minutes until soft. Larger peaches may need a few more minutes.
  • Remove and serve with ice cream and chopped walnuts.

Air Fryer Instructions:

  • Preheat Air Fryer to 350F / 180C.
  • Slice the peaches in half and remove the pit.
  • Place the peaches in the air fryer skin side down and then drizzle with maple syrup.
  • Air fry for 8-12 minutes until soft. Larger peaches may need a few more minutes.
  • Remove and serve with ice cream and chopped walnuts.
  • Firmer peaches may need a bit longer.

Notes

  • Choose freestone peaches. This means you can easily remove the pit when you cut the peaches in half.
  • If you are having trouble removing the pit, use a melon baller to scoop it out.
  • Choose slightly firm peaches. Juicy peaches have more sugar which means they will be prone to burning on the grill or in the air fryer.
  • Grill peach halves rather than slices so they don’t fall through the grates on the grill.
  • You may need to adjust the cooking size depending on the size of your peaches.
  • If you skip the ice cream, there is just 1 Blue Plan SmartPoint in a serving of this.
