Easy Smothered Pork Chops

pork chops creole seasoning vegetable oil cornstarch chicken broth buttermilk

Step 1

Season pork chops and set aside.

Step 2

Heat oil in a skillet and brown pork chops for about 4 minutes on both sides. Remove from skillet, set aside and drain any excess oil.

Scrape the bottom of the skillet to dislodge the awesome browned bits, add in the onions and sauté for about 7 minutes until tender. 

Step 3

Next, add in the cornstarch, stirring constantly, and cook for 3-4 minutes until it changes to a rich toffee color.
