Slow Cooker Brioche French Toast {Recipe Video}

This sinfully decadent slow cooker brioche French toast is worth getting out of bed for.

  • 2 large eggs
  • 250 ml (1 cup) milk
  • 175 ml (3/4 cup) double cream
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 100 g (3.5oz) blueberries
  • 8 brioche rolls if your dish is shallow, cut in half again the other way to make shorter pieces, each one split in half
  • A handful of sliced almonds
  • Strawberries to serve
  • Icing sugar for dusting


  • Whisk together the eggs, milk, double cream, vanilla and nutmeg until combined
  • Cut brioche rolls into rough pieces.
  • Lay half the cut brioche rolls in the multicooker bowl along with half the blueberries and almonds.
  • Then layer with the remaining brioche.
  • Pour all the egg mixture over the bread and scatter over the remaining blueberries and almonds.
  • Put the bowl in the cooker, close the lid, switch it on, select the slow cooker programme and set the time for 2.5 hrs.
  • Serve the slow cooker brioche French toast with extra fruit, nuts and maple syrup.
