How to Roast Red Cabbage

Easy roasted red cabbage recipe.

Ingredients

  • 500 g shredded red cabbage
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt

Instructions

  • Pre heat oven to fan assisted 160 C / 180C / 350F / gas 4.
  • Combine cabbage, olive oil and salt and roast in oven for between 15 to 25 mins until the cabbage is roasted.
  • Smaller cabbage shreds roast quicker and bigger shreds take longer.
  • Make sure to turn the cabbage at least once so that it cook evenly on all sides. This is because if cabbage burns it gets a little bit bitter.
  • If a few bits of shredded cabbage burns then just pick out and discard them.
