CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE FOR KIDS - Recipes From A Pantry

So Christmas is almost upon us. The decorations are up (erm, it is never too early), the baking has started, some gifts have been bought, wrapped and rewrapped (because some of us are obsessive like that) and the countdown is on.

For those of you still looking for gifts well look no further. I have put together a guide to Christmas gifts that kids ages 5-11 would love. This include activity kits, techy treats, augmented reality books, colour in clothing and much, much more. This is not a definitive list. It is just a start.

Please do scroll down for the chance to win a set of Magnetips worth £60 .

Science Geeks And Nature Lovers (like the kiddoes and I)

iExplore augmented reality books, £7.99, Carlton Books
These books are beyond awesome. First, you get a well-illustrated hardcover book full of fun facts of various topics – egs predators, micro beast, extinct animals, dragons etc. Then you bring these items to life in front of your very eyes, thanks to the Digital Magic of Augmented Reality.

Using this book, the free app and a smartphone or tablet, you can see a woolly mammoth grow to full size, fly a dragon around your bedroom, and much more! Then share your pics with your friends and family. Even the grown-up kids love it too.

Marvel Fidget Cubes, £9.99 The Fowndry
These fidget cubes, are one of the best presents for both kids and adults. These unputdownable cubes have the added advantage of coming in Marvel patterns.  They help kid, with focus, memory and and tell us that  “Fidgeting is a response to anxiety or boredom. But now instead of jigging about like you have St Vitus Dance, you can channel all that pent-up tension into fiddling with The Original MARVEL Fidget Cube, essentially a one-stop ‘fidget toolbox’.” Perfect for all little fidgeters over Christmas and the New Year.

Magic Aquarium, £3.95, rexlondon.com

I can’t wait to give the kiddoes this fun old school magic Aquarium from the Dotcomgiftshop. You get all the fun without the hassle because these are lower maintenance than your usual fish tank. Just give it 72 hours for this mini aquarium to come to life. I think I will be even more excited than the kiddoes for these.

Bonds in the making can send and receive secret messages using the code wheel to decipher secrets and decode information. The spy range is impressive and included other kits such as secret agent fingerprint kits and secret agent spy pens. They are very affordable and making them an ideal present for budding spies

Wannabees Roll Play Packs, £14.99, Wannabees
I think I love these packs just as much as the kiddoes do. Role play is huge amongst my twp and their friends – so that is where these roll play packs come in.  We love the fun role play ideas that you find in the Doctors pack, the teacher pack and the café owners pack too.

Each bumper imaginative role play pack contains approximately 50 pages of forms, stickers and certificates and will allow children to act out fun tasks such as filling out appointment cards for their teddies, giving eye tests to their friends, taking the morning register with their action figures or even writing out school reports for Mummy and Daddy!. Role play has never been so much fun

Cheerz magnets and picture frames, from £10, Cheerz

Cheerz is an online photo printing service who ‘print your photos in just a few clicks – then hold them in your hands’. Basically, they let you easily print photos from your computer, social media channels and sites like dropbox. They also had a phone app which makes it pretty easy to print off your images directly from your phone. The offer a wide range of products to print your images on to such as polaroid style images, magnets, photo strips, photo albums and stunning invitations.  My personal favourite is the elegant little square box in which you can display one or four of your most cherished photos. The images are printed and come set up in an 8×8″ wooden frame. The kids adore the magnets and the personalised calendar.

If you want to try this out to your self then use this code: RSNFBF to get a great £5 off all of  Cheerz products both online or via our Cheerz app with a min spend of £20.
